Sure, we are a mid-sized Canadian EPCM firm in business for around 20 years now, but more importantly we would want you to know that we simply love the challenge of working together to deliver! History of TWD
TWD formed by founding partners, Milt Tsiapalis and Scott Wilson. The company remains a dream as they remain working in other careers.
TWD formally starts as Milt and Scott begin working at TWD full time. Humble beginnings in Milt's basement.
First TWDer is hired.
TWD opens our first office (outside of Milt's basement) in Oakville, Ontario.
TWD completes our first Oil Sands Project in Northern Alberta.
TWD completes our largest full service engineering project. The value of the project is $65,000,000 and is located in Northern Alberta.
TWD Edmonton office opens and TWD Oakville moves for a 3rd time into its current Burlington location.
We completed our first turnkey EPC project for a major Oil and Gas company. We will go on to complete 3 more for this client over the next 5 years, each getting larger. We are currently working on a project with a cost of more than $100,000,000.
TWD Sarnia office open supporting small local sustaining projects.
50th TWDer is hired.
TWD wins award of merit for Industry, Energy and Resources from the Consulting Engineers of Ontario. The project helped transform the operating efficiency of our client's facility. This is what we strive to do everyday.
TWD Calgary office opens down in heart of +15 to further introduce its brand and team.
TWD Atlantic Canada office opens exploring opportunities in New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, PEI and Newfoundland & Labrador.
TWD opens our new office in beautiful Burnaby, British Columbia expanding our services and serving our clients on the West Coast.
TWD opens our first US office in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
TWD acquires Great Northern Engineering Consultants Inc. (GNEC) diversifying our business into power, utility, transportation, and infrastructure.
8 offices and over 230 TWDers located across Canada and Pennsylvania. We complete more than approximately 120 projects per year.
