Together We Delivered Clean Energy Retrofit Building Solutions

Through the CleanBC program, TWD is supporting taking action to reduce greenhouse gas emissions at the iconic Science World building.
To achieve this goal, several retrofit opportunities were identified to enhance the critical infrastructure of the building. Addressing these challenges will yield significant environmental benefits through energy savings and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
TWD has been supporting these essential facility upgrades by providing mechanical and electrical engineering services for the following items:
- Air source heat pump upgrades
- Heating water upgrades
- HVAC and plumbing systems renewal/replacement
- Reconnection of existing ductwork and control devices serving the facility
- HVLS fans in lobby and atrium
- Domestic hot water system upgrades
- Rooftop exhaust air outlet relocation
- Cooling for control room and theatre
- Electrical and mechanical equipment upgrades
