Building a more sustainable future for transportation! Congratulations to TransLink for submitting the development permit application for the Marpole Transit Centre Project.
TransLink recently set out to build the Marpole Transit Centre in the City of Vancouver. The facility is designed to facilitate the administration and maintenance of a combined fleet of 300 battery electric and conventionally powered buses, as well as 25 agency support vehicles. The Transit Centre is expected to be operational at its maximum capacity of up to 300 buses in the year of 2026.
We joined the design team led by our prime consultant WSP and Architecture49 Inc. Together, we have played a key role in bringing together a comprehensive solution to every aspect of this project.
TWD is working as the Project Director to help deliver a seamless and successful project. TWD’s prime role throughout the project has included the following:
- Project management and design coordination support
- Mechanical and electrical design for half of the site
- Supporting the City and provincial permitting processes, tendering, and construction administration
- Consultation and collaboration with First Nations, DFO, Ministry of Forests, and local businesses and residents
