TWD Expands with Acquisition of Galletta Engineering Corporation

Pittsburgh, PA, April 30, 2024 – TWD Consulting (TWD) and Galletta Engineering (Galletta) are pleased to announce the acquisition of Galletta by TWD. This will expand TWD’s capability to deliver an enhanced range of projects and services across the United States.
TWD and Galletta have been collaborating on projects for many years and this next chapter will ensure ongoing leveraging of our collective strengths to better serve our existing TWD and Galletta clients. The acquisition of Galletta by TWD strategically expands our capabilities in the Metals, Industrial, Infrastructure and Communications sectors.
Galletta brings to TWD engineering and project management expertise in Metals including:
· pushing the boundaries in developing new alloys, innovative processes, advanced manufacturing techniques, fabricating;
· crushing and material handling;
· processing of ferrous metals, ferroalloys, non-ferrous metals and light metals;
· design and integration of furnaces, continuous casters, coke oven batteries, hot and cold strip mills, ingot handling, leveling and finishing;
· and the design of all other critical infrastructure elements including utility systems, structural, controls, water treatment and asset protection.
Galletta also brings expertise in Infrastructure and Communications sector work with a focus on cellular site development, data centers and data transmission infrastructure for major telecommunications companies. In addition to our specific areas of expertise, Galletta has Professional Engineering (PE) stamping capability in 35 US states.
Collaborations between TWD and Galletta has been ongoing for several years and we have demonstrated the synergy between our organizations, our cultures and our people. This acquisition more formally enables us to combine our strengths and experiences to provide enhanced client service and capabilities.
